During prayer, the Lord gave me a powerful image—one of our youth, standing tall and confident. Then, I saw him as an old man, surrounded by children, laughter echoing all around. It was as if God was saying, "What you’re building here isn’t just for today—it’s for generations."
At Beacon of Hope Africa, that’s exactly what we’re doing. We’re not just helping boys grow up—we’re equipping future fathers, leaders, and disciple-makers. Every week in our character development class, we explore what it means to walk in integrity. We’ve talked about respect, honesty, and responsibility. And more importantly, we’ve talked about Jesus.
One young man recently said, “Some of the words in the Bible—I didn’t even know them before.” That simple comment blessed me deeply. It’s more than just learning vocabulary—it’s learning truth. They’re beginning to connect Scripture to their daily decisions, and that’s the kind of change that lasts.
I often tell them, “Life is like wearing a tool belt. Every time you learn something about God, about life, or about yourself, you’re adding a tool. One day, you’ll face the world—and your tool belt will help you stand.”
We’ve been teaching them how to treat God’s Word with respect. They love highlighting verses about character and faith, carefully marking each one. It may seem like a small thing, but it’s a holy thing—learning to honor the Word of God and hide it in their hearts.
This is discipleship. This is legacy. And this is just the beginning.
Let’s keep building a generation that walks in truth.
